BOOM Collective were appointed to undertake the mechanical, electrical and public health services engineering design for the conversion of these grade II* office buildings to residential with restaurant use at basement level on the site of 7-10 Adam Street, Westminster London.
The proposals were to provide 14 new apartments and one townhouse at No.10, reinstating the original residential use to the former 18th century townhouses. The works required altering internal partitions, whilst preserving the majority of the internal plan form, creating a minor rear infill extension at No.10, altering window openings at the rear of Nos. 8-9 and retaining the majority of the basements unchanged for restaurant use.
BOOM Collective have developed the Environmental Engineering Design through to RIBA Stage 3 and produced Energy and Sustainability Strategy reports to support the successful planning submission.
