Holloway Road

In September 2016, BOOM Collective were appointed by Optic Realm to provide mechanical, electrical and public health engineering design and sustainable environmental design services on their Holloway Road development. Optic Realm has historically specialised in the restoration and refurbishment of period property in the London area and predominantly retains its properties for commercial lease and residential letting rather than sale; hence their decision to appoint BOOM Collective.

640-650 Holloway Road has been granted planning permission for the demolition of the existing buildings on site that comprise a petrol station forecourt, warehouse and motor vehicle repair centre, and the construction of a mixed-use scheme of three blocks containing two commercial units of approx 3,500 sq ft and 5,000 sq ft and 40 residential apartments. There are four existing flats on site that will be retained. Demolition of the existing buildings took place in late 2016 with practical completion expected at the beginning of 2018.
